To Contribute to the Country’s Architectural Development with Advanced Technologies

The Green Architectural Technology Company is one of the units that achieve remarkable successes in developing the architecture of the country, true to the decisions of the Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Kim Song Do, director of the green architecture section, is a graduate of the Faculty of Basic Sciences of Kim Chaek University of Technology. Working in the construction field for nearly 20 years, he is now on a par with construction experts, and some people believe mistakenly his major as such.
Having mastered four foreign languages and been well-versed in IT, he played an important role in introducing various advanced programs in conformity with the reality of the country.
In the course of seven lectures on architectural design based on integrated design program for construction from November 2009, he gave reeducation to over 360 scientists, technicians, designers, and civil engineers from over 130 units on the application of integrated 3D and 4D design programs and the latest world trend of architectural development. This served as an important occasion in putting design, building work, management of building materials and operation, design examination, and construction supervision and guidance on a scientific, IT and integrated basis.
The Sci-Tech Complex is the representative building showing his high abilities and effectiveness of the architectural information modeling technology.
He contributed to the successful completion of the Complex by finishing in a short period the budget plan for the main building materials by relying on the architectural information modeling technology, which would have taken others several months according to the existing method.
He is a winner of Kim Il Sung Youth Honour Prize, and has been highly appreciated at festivals and exhibitions, including the May 21 Architectural Festival.
