Third Festival of Architectural Information Modelling Technology Held

The Third Festival of Architectural Information Modelling Technology took place from October 28 to 30 under the sponsorship of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Architects Union of Korea.
The festival, held under the theme of “The golden age of construction and rapid development of advanced architectural technology”, was aimed at providing a scientific guarantee for the whole course of construction and ensuring the quality of structures by proactively introducing the latest architectural information modelling technologies into the architectural designing sector, true to the intention of the Workers’ Party of Korea in drastically enhancing the scientific level of design as required by the new century.
It was attended by officials, teachers, researchers and designers from the Pyongyang Urban Designing Institute, Pyongyang University of Architecture, Green Architecture Technology Trading Company and other units.
Presented to the festival were scores of valuable proposals studied and completed by scientists and technicians through their painstaking efforts to implement the Workers’ Party of Korea’s policy on providing the people with the happiest life and bringing about a fresh transformation of the appearance of Juche-oriented architecture by fully applying the people-first architectural idea.
Appreciated at the festival were such proposals as the cooperative designing method by means of Korean-style program, architectural information integrated modelling of green architecture-type buildings, Korean-style roof designing support program and three-dimensional design of equipment for producing pre-fab light parts for their great practical significance.
The festival served as an innovative occasion in expanding the application scope of architectural information modelling technology into the overall sectors of construction, including architectural design, building work and construction equipment, and technically perfecting it, as planned and intended by the Party Central Committee.
