The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un made a speech at the Sangwon Cement Complex.
The full text of his speech is as follows:
Comrades,
Reliable workers and officials of the Sangwon Cement Complex, who are a source of pride and strength for the country and its most revolutionary force,
As I saw the Ninth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea end with success and have to launch a new struggle now, you were the first to come across my mind. I truly wanted in my mind all the time during the Congress, while recollecting the past five-year struggle, to offer my special thanks to you. As I have longed to see you, I am here at your enterprise as the first of my visits after the end of the Congress.
Over the past five years, the period of really great difficulties, you have maintained an invariable attitude in providing faithful support to our Party’s resolute choice and made a tangible contribution to its implementation. Your good deeds deserve nationwide publicity and everybody’s tribute.
Great records are to be found in each chapter of the chronicles of the past five years when our socialist construction was marked with unprecedented upsurges and transformations. They surely include the unbounded devotion and sincere efforts of you, Sangwon workers, and the whole country should have a deep understanding of this.
At the moment not a few people know the Sangwon cement is excellent, and yet few people know how hard you, Sangwon workers, are working.
Comrades,
Seeing you, enthusiastic and militant workers, here at this moment is good enough for me to feel the high spirit of the powerful working class who are the main driving force of the revolution.
First of all, I would like to offer my tribute to the history of development of the Sangwon Cement Complex that has written wonderful records of loyalty and patriotism alone since it went online, and extend my warmest greetings to all the workers of the complex.
Comrades,
There are a number of large and important enterprises in our country, but none of them has such a group of staunch and militant workers as you, my dear Sangwon workers.
A powerful enterprise which carries out, not by mere words or pledges but through practical production results and increased production, whatever the Party intends or plans to be done, an enterprise that is able to do anything it decides to do--this is the honorable appellation which can be identified in the whole history of the Sangwon Cement Complex spanning over 40 years.
In particular, during the years of the eighth term of the Party Central Committee, the complex strongly supported through practical cement production the Party’s plan of achieving remarkable progress and overall upsurge in socialist construction, and opened up the greatest heyday of operation since its inauguration by expanding its production capacity and making ceaseless efforts for increased production.
As a matter of fact, the epochal events that threw the whole country into excitement year by year for the past five years, the time of great changes, were all associated with this complex.
In 2025, the last year in implementing the five-year plan, the Sangwon workers, in hearty response to the militant call of the Party, held up the torch of increased production and injected great vigor into each of the projects for socialist construction, thus doing an outstanding service for a proud review of the fighting tasks set by the Party.
Devoted efforts were made leading to amazing achievements in the grand construction projects that brought about radical changes in the capital city and provinces and to the erection of numerous structures that bring greater wellbeing to the people and serve them as guide to civilization in the new era. What comes to my mind as the most memorable of all the priceless efforts is the unusually hard work of the Sangwon workers.
At the theatres of creation and construction across the country the Sangwon Cement Complex stood not in the rear but in the forefront, and it played the active role of the vanguard, surpassing the mission of supporter.
With the Eighth Party Congress as the starting point, the complex increased its cement production volume to a level that was much higher than what it had ever produced to the maximum, and this was something it could not expect to achieve a decade ago. The complex has since exceeded the peak-year level on an annual basis, helping us move forward step by step with greater confidence and opening up possibilities for successfully carrying out huge projects. This cannot be called otherwise than a heroic exploit.
Thanks to such active support rendered by the workers of the complex, our Party could adopt policies with a view to achieving epochal transformations and expand their scope, and along with the miraculous achievements made in the construction sector, it could expect to see the fruits of the revolution ripening year after year.
Comrades,
The spirit, work style and traditions of Sangwon hold the secret to our development.
Supporting the Party and the country with boundless loyalty, aspiring after unlimited and daring innovation, and consistently prioritizing science and technology--this is the key to the complex’s leaping forward and it is a formula for the increasing production achieved by our workers and also for the development of our times.
Even when they were believed to have reached the final limits that could not be broken, the workers of the complex achieved a new breakthrough for increased production by dint of extraordinary mental power and science.
They are so faithful and sincere that, upon being given a new task for increased production, they understood that the added numbers were an indication of the Party’s decision to plan and prepare for another massive transformation; they are so indomitable and creative that they pledged to implement any challenging task unconditionally and carried it out without fail as the country and the revolution required them to do so. Such are the workers at the Sangwon Cement Complex, so the air in Sangwon is always fresh and no enterprise can surpass it in terms of militant efficiency and capability.
In order to successfully carry out the tasks entrusted to them by the Party, all the workers and officials of the complex set increasingly high standards ideologically and spiritually, and in technical and practical terms and work hard to meet them. This is a manifestation of their purest and most intense loyalty to the Party and the state.
Witnessing the reality that the workers here committed themselves to increasing production and their soaring spirit spread across the country to raise fierce flames for a series of new innovations, I was deeply moved and filled with pride in having really excellent workers.
As honorable paragons and precious models of our times, they have taken on the role of the country’s eldest sons by themselves to defend the Party and the revolution and advance our cause; their stout spirit and redoubled efforts are a constant source of strength for our Party.
I, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, extend my warm thanks once again to all the workers, technicians and officials of the Sangwon Cement Complex for making effort to achieve continued upsurge and innovations to exalt the great honor of our country and for demonstrating the might of the Korean working class and the mettle of our advancing socialism.
Comrades,
After conducting a great review of our arduous struggle, we have set higher ideals and ambitions for new development and made bigger strides to start our new journey for the future. This journey demands that our working class, the major force of socialist construction, perform a heavier, more important mission.
We have a mountain of bigger and tougher tasks to do for the prosperity and development of our country, for the wellbeing of our people and for the bright future of our younger generations. The Sangwon Cement Complex’s pioneering position and role in carrying out these tasks can be said to be absolute.
This is a place that represents the spirit of the indomitable Korean people and embodies the potentials of our country, which is transforming and developing ceaselessly without recognizing any impossibility. Today, as I am here, I have been fully convinced that a new stage of our revolution will be brought to a successful completion, and I have also reconfirmed that the decisive guarantee for it--a powerful driving force of our struggle--has been firmly secured.
The soaring patriotic enthusiasm and mettle for increased production, which the Sangwon workers display in making continuous innovation and advance, will constitute an absolute support for our Party’s ideology and cause, and this will be a torch inspiring the whole country to a heroic struggle.
The Party and the government value the Sangwon Cement Complex’s production results as the most important strategic index for the development of the state; the more actively this complex supports them and the bigger progress it makes, the greater vitality our struggle will gain.
Workers and officials of the Sangwon Cement Complex,
I believe that you will continue to glorify the honorable history and traditions of Sangwon, which has been a constant source of great strength and reliance for our Party.
Let us all display to the full the Korean people’s dauntless spirit and wisdom in the new struggle to add eternal glory to our beloved country and translate the people’s long-cherished desires into reality.
I am in firm belief that you, Sangwon workers, will share one purpose with me, as you have done so far, for the prosperity and development of the country.
Thanks to your devotion and efforts, this country will surely advance forward, achieving dynamic transformations day after day, just as before.
I am completely certain of this.
I would like to extend my warm greetings to all of you, Sangwon workers, as I ask you once again to play your due role, which no one else can perform, and work hard for the prosperity and development of the country and for the wellbeing of the people.
I hope that victory and glory are always in store for this admirable enterprise in its sacred struggle as it embodies everything of our heroic working class.
