National Sci-tech Presentations in Construction Sector Held
A national sci-tech presentation in the construction sector took place at the Sci-Tech Complex from August 27 to 30, 2024, under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the Architects Union of Korea.
It was held on the theme of “Putting construction on a scientific footing and domestic production of finishing materials”. It was attended by officials, teachers, researchers and postgraduates from various units, including the State Academy of Sciences, Pyongyang University of Architecture, Hamhung College of Construction.
Scientists and technicians in the construction sector presented over 110 valuable papers they have studied and completed in their efforts to lead the development of civilization of Korean-style socialism by waging a new revolution in construction.
The presentation was held in such a way of finding out reasonable solutions to the issues arising in the construction economy and building materials sectors, as well as to new concepts and experiences through discussions and debates.
Some proposals were highly appreciated as they would make substantial contributions to ensuring the diversity of forms, kinds and colours of finishing materials, as well as to improving the quality of building materials and raising the scientific level of construction.
During the period, there were also a presentation of designing experiences gained in architectural formation of the Yombunjin coastal park area and a video show on the trend of construction.
The presentation served as an important occasion in solving the technical problems arising in reality in line with the Party’s plan and intention and guaranteeing the whole courses of construction with science and technology by proactively sharing and transferring advanced achievements and experiences.
